Our Story

RESI Consultancy Ltd was founded by a team of seasoned real estate consultants with a shared vision: to provide specialised, strategic guidance across the evolving sectors of Student Accommodation, BTR, Co-living, and Later Living. With decades of combined experience, our consultants have a deep understanding of market dynamics, investment opportunities, and operational challenges.

Rory Hughes

Rory works with our University clients on their operational needs. Having worked across agents, marketplaces and recruitment teams, he's able to advise on key operational strategies.

Ian Dodd

Ian is our resident sustainability and ESG expert. As a certified environmental scientist specialising in Real Estate Ian oversees the ESG strategy for over 25,000 PBSA and BTR beds.

Sarah and Deenie

Sarah and Deenie are experts in marketing residential real estate. Running the Property Marketing Strategists we work with them on all our marketing projects. They are also co-hosts of Housed Podcast with Dan.

Ross Halliday

Ross is our operational expert. Having mobilised and operated dozens of properties for one of the UK's top operators he now helps our clients to achieve best practice.

Dan Smith

Founder and Managing Director of RESI Consultancy, Dan works with all clients to oversee performance.

James Ballard

James is a former Head of Innovation at the UK's largest student accommodation operator. He now spends his time working on our systems, innovation and operations projects.
